HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF IRANIAN WOMEN JOIN NATIONAL DEFENSE MOBILIZATION
Hundreds of thousands of Iranian women have reportedly signed up for Iran’s Janfada campaign, volunteering to support national defense and emergency mobilization efforts.
Women are also reportedly forming dedicated units and undergoing military training as Iran expands its nationwide mobilization program.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has emphasized the role of women during wartime:
“We observed in the war and revolution that the role of women, if not more than men, was not less.”
