In the 40 years since Muammar Gaddafi came to power, Gaddafi has never attended a UN General Assembly.  When he first set foot in New York in 2009, the whole world knew something was going to happen. And that's exactly what happened... 

According to the rules of the United Nations, each country's head of state is allotted only 15 minutes to give a speech. But when Gaddafi got on the podium, he began speaking in fluent Arabic, ignoring the clock. 1 minute, 2 minutes passed, and the time passed for 1 hour and 37 minutes (about 100 minutes)! 

The poor UN official Libyan interpreter, Fuad Jalit, was so exhausted from translating Gaddafi's high-voltage speech non-stop that, 80 minutes into the speech, he almost fainted into the live microphone and shouted, "I can't take it anymore!" (I can't take it anymore!). Then another interpreter was forced to come and take over.  20 minutes to handle! 

Gaddafi's main grievance was the exclusive "veto" power of the 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council (America, Britain, France, Russia, China).  He was directly attacking the "powers". 

​He said in a loud voice, from 1945 to today, this Security Council has not been able to provide any security to small countries. They have only given war, aggression and sanctions! It is wrong to call it the Security Council, it is actually a ******* council! 

​It does not end here, he pointed his finger at the United States and demanded an international investigation into the assassination of former US President John F. Kennedy and the unjust Iraq war of 2003. He even expressed doubts about whether the swine flu virus that spread at that time was a military biological weapon created in a laboratory or not! 

​At one point in his speech, Gaddafi held up the official book of the UN Charter in front of everyone. He said that this charter  The proposal states that all countries in the world have equal rights, but in reality, small countries are not worth a single penny to the superpowers! As soon as he said this, he tore up the pages of the UN Charter in front of them in extreme anger! Then, with extreme annoyance, he threw the torn pieces of paper onto the desks of the UN president and officials sitting in front of him.  The entire hall was silent, the representatives of different countries were looking at each other with awe!

Wherever Gaddafi went, he would take a traditional, luxurious ‘Bedouin tent’ with him. Even when he came to New York, he made a point of staying in a tent instead of staying in a five-star hotel!

When Mark tried to pitch a tent in various places, starting from Central Park in Manhattan, when he was stopped by the security team, he immediately rented the lawn of an estate owned by Donald Trump and put up a huge tent! Later, when the local administration gave him a notice of abduction, his security team was forced to fold the tent in the dark of night.

This speech by Gaddafi may have been a mistake in international diplomatic etiquette.  It doesn't. Many people like to call it his delusion or madness. But the bitter truths he spoke in those 100 minutes about the two-faced policies of the superpowers and the ineffectiveness of the United Nations are still the harsh reality of international politics.

Today, where the superpowers like to kick their shoes and lie under their feet, and struggle to maintain their own power, who has the courage to stand tall like Gaddafi?

There may be a thousand controversies about Gaddafi's lifestyle or policies, but who has the daring power move to enter the heart of America and stand right under their noses and speak against global exploitation!  Looking at today's world situation, it is clear that at the end of the day, history does not remember slaves, history remembers these kings who roar like lions!
